Profession or Area of Expertise
Environmental Scientist
Personal Statement
I have a B.S. in education and a M.S. in Environmental Science. I
have worked as an environmental science and biology teacher; a seasonal
ranger for the National Park Service (Grand Canyon, Carlsbad Caverns,
Redwood, Rocky Mountain, Denali, and Yellowstone National Parks); an
environmental specialist/scientist for the Ohio Environmental Protection
Agency; the executive director of In Defense of Endangered Species; and
the regional director of the Native Forest Council.
In my current position with the Native Forest Council I have
developed an educational slide presentation titled Forever Wild. This
presentation outlines the Native Forest Council's goal of passing
Forever Wild legislation. This legislation will prohibit all destructive
activities on publicly owned lands (grazing, logging, mining, oil/gas
drilling, and use of vehicles off-road). If anyone has a need for this
presentation, please give me a call at (614) 538-9344.
I am also currently on the Board of Directors of the Greater
Yellowstone Coalition.
